Highlights:
- For Literacy, we continued reading A Rover's Story. Ask me what is happening so far and what feelings Res has started to develop. We also learned about the prefix re-, ask me what are some examples of words that have this prefix.
- In Phys. Ed, we started our basketball unit. We practiced dribbling today and then had a chance to shoot at the nets at the end.
- In Math, we learned about the different types of lines that we find in shapes and in the world. After, we went on a walk around the school looking for different examples of each line. Ask me to tell you the difference between parallel, perpendicular, and intersecting lines.
- Today in Social Studies, we learned about immigration in Alberta today and also discussed why people might choose to immigrate here.
Reminders:
- As the weather is warming up and the ice is melting around the school, students are reminded to wear waterproof boots and have an extra pair of socks and pants in their backpack.
